There's nothing like the first signs of Winter. It is truly the wonder of nature unfolding each and every day. Winter here in New England is Skiing and Snowshoeing time. You can smell the clean fresh Winter air all around you,and see the lSnow haning from the trees. This ol' gardener is up and thinking about Snowshoeing and Skiing now. The days are getting shorter,and the nights are getting colder. It's time to get up and out early in the morning. Time to get out and shovel the new fallen snow. It's time to bring in more wood in and get ready for more snow. It is also time to have some fun. Here in New New Hampshire we have Gunstock Mountain with it's many snowshoeing and skiing trails.
COME ON UP: This is the time to start Skiing,and hiking the mountains of New Hampshire. We hope to see you on the trail! GREAT!!!
Now is the time to see the all the animals running about the woods looking for food for the long winter months. You can see the deer prints, and droppings on the trials in the snow. The early morning brings the sound of the turkeys in the distance or you may see a fox or two. Just before dark or in the early morning you can see turkey's marching in a row in search of food. If,you look real close you see the squirrels stealing bird seeds from the bird feeders. Again listen closely and you will hear the turkey's in the early morning hours telling us that we should be ready for more snow. In winter the animals will tell you when the snow is coming. When you look all around you will see you will also smell the wood burning in peoples homes. There is something very special about winter in New Hampshire.
All of this and more is the beauty of New Hampshire in the Winter.

We live at beautiful Lake Winnipesaukee,and are surrounded by mountains.
This is vacation land in the Summer,Autumn,Spring and Winter. In summer we have Weirs beach,the Water Slide, and
Fun sport. We also have one of the oldest Drive-In's in the nation. In summer there is hiking,swimming,boating,gifts
shops,good food, concerts,and many other things to do. You can spend your days on a lake cruise. You can fish for the
big one. Play on Weirs beach or stroll through town poking into the interesting shops in Laconia. The fall foliage is spectacular,
framed by blue sky and blue water. In winter there is skiing(downhill) or cross-country skiing,snowshoeing,ice fishing,and
sitting by a warm fire reading. In winter there you can also watch ice boats race or walk among the ice-fishing shacks that
appear as small villages. This State has lakes,mountians,and the ocean only an hour's drive from most part's

It's time to get ready for those FREE Summer
Concerts at Weirs beach. Yes every Wednesday
at 7:30 PM the See Barbershop Harmony Society, they will entertain you for FREE. You
know with the good old songs of yesterday.
Also every Thursday night all Summer long Downtown Laconia has FREE Concerts at 6:30
PM, with the exception of this year there are only three Concerts go to Laconia .com for more information.
Gunstock Mountain Resort Activies Camping, Horseback Riding, Hiking, Lift Rides, And More
We live only six miles away from the mountians. The Belnap mountains have many interesting hiking trails. We hope you find are web pages interesting and informative. Come join the fun at one of New Englands best lakes. This is a fun place to spend the summer of just a week vacation. If,
you like Winter vacations there is Gunstock ski area. There is also many hiking trails on Gunstock Mountian or Belnap Mountian.
The swimming is fun and there is also a water slide at Weirs beach. We have one of the oldest Drive-in's in the country. Weirs
