When you Garden the Organic Way your taste buds will know the difference.
Some History of Organic Gardening
Organic gardening is not a new concept. Before the 1930's all farming, and gardening was done organically. It was hard work, and
at that time was difficult to do on a large scale. It changes from small farms to big farms when chemicals came along, and
started to produce to feed the country but what are we eating?. Storage and transportation were a big problem, and chemical
fertilizers and pesticides which could be spread easily with tractors on a very large scale.
Today we have found ways to make compost very inexpensivly. Today people are starting to realized the important health benefits
of organic vegetables and locally grown produce sold at Farmer's Markets all over the country. Now there seems to be a craze
for all products organic and a belief that health is very much tied to the words "organic". Our MOTO: is--- If you eat organic
vegetables your taste buds will know the difference.
Some Personal History
Welcome to our gardening web site. This is were organic vegetables will make your taste buds come alive
Our Ancestors started gardening many generations ago. This was the time when organic gardening was normal, and there were no
chemicals to put in your garden. Today we are still gardening the organic way, and enjoying the delicious vegetables we put
on the table. A happy garden is a garden rich in organic matter and lacking any chemicals. We love to eat,and we love to
cook THE ORGANIC WAY. You will find many cooking recipes on our other web pages.
We Garden the Organic Way
We have been gardening for about 20 years. We come from generations of organic gardeners, and we love to garden. For the first
two years we maintained a vegetable garden that was 80'x 80'. We were growing every vegetable none to man. We stop for a few
years. Last year we started a new garden that was only 12'x50'. So it was fun again! Last year we had an excellent harvest.
We grow the following vegetables-- Tomatoes, cucumbers, lettice, summer squash, winter squash, green beans, pepers, and beets.(2005)
This year we increase the size of the garden. This year I increased the garden by making 2 additional raised beds. (one 12x20
and the second one is 8x15). We are now also growing (2006) cabbage, broccli, califlower, onions, and potatoes. We make our own
compost all year long. We also use are own bug sprays, which we make from kitchen products. if you would like more information
on organic gardening E-mail us.
We would like to share our gardening experience with you. We would like your suggestions, and
helpful tips. We also enjoy cooking and eating good food from around the world. We would be very interested in sharing recipes, and
gardening tips. My wife has just started a new flower garden, and would appreciate any information you may have to offer.

This message is for people who don't grow your own vegetables, and want to enjoy the fresh taste of organic vegetables.
We are what I call "clean eating." people. We try and stay away from processed foods. This is one of the many reasons I would
suggest going to farmers' markets in the summer. These local venues are great places to purchase fresh, healthy food directly
from the farmer or grower. And with farms across the country bustling with activity at this time of the year, it's a perfect
time to go check out a local farmers' market.
The benefits of shopping locally at a farmers' market are numerous. First, of course, they're filled with food that's good
for you, because most small farmers are organic. Organic vegetables are the best tasting. You can enjoy corn on the cob, zucchini,
tomatoes and berries in the summer. There is squash, apples and cranberries during the autumn. The list is endless. Remember,
fresh produce is a key part of a healthy lifestyle, and the more color your produce has the greater its health benefits.
Not only will you experience the health benefits of eating locally
grown produce, but you'll also have some fun and may well learn something new in the process.
